The Studio, Bristol

The brief for this project was to create a stand-alone garden studio to be used for making glass-art work.

This new studio was designed to nestle into the garden of a Victorian terraced house. The design also incorporated their existing garage, accessed from the lane at the rear. A large timber ‘lift and slide’ door opens the studio up to the garden and looks back toward the house.

A strip rooflight at the junction with the garage provides views of the sky and floods the interior with natural light, critical for the artistic process.
