SEMI DETACHED - PERIOD - EXTENSION
Cliftonwood House, Bristol
The popped section of pitch roof elevates this rear extension to something out of the ordinary.
The extension is a simple addition, with two flat roofed sections bookending a set of large sliding doors and the feature pitched roof. The ridge of this aligns with the corner of the main house, creating a strong axis in the design as well as avoiding impacting the existing bay window at first floor. Inside, the pitch forms a high vaulted space with a glazed gable to provide expansive views of the tree canopy and sky.
